Oreo Mocha Madness Latte

 

March 6th is National Oreo Cookie Day. The day celebrates  when the Oreo cookie was first introduced to the National Biscuit Co. on March 6, 1912.  So to celebrate, try this delicious Oreo Mocha Madness Latte recipe.


Ingredients:
1. 1 shot of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee
2. 1 cup of milk (you can use regular, almond, soy, or any preferred milk)
3. 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
4. 2 crushed Oreo cookies (plus extra for garnish)
5. Whipped cream
6. Crushed ice (optional)

Instructions:

1. Brew a shot of espresso or make a strong cup of coffee.
2. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it's hot but not boiling.
3. Add the chocolate syrup to the hot milk and whisk until well combined.
4. Crush the Oreo cookies and add them to the chocolate milk mixture. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cookies are fully incorporated.
5. Pour the hot espresso or coffee into a mug.
6. Pour the Oreo chocolate milk mixture over the espresso or coffee, stirring gently to combine.
7. If you prefer a chilled version, add crushed ice to the mixture.
8. Top the drink with whipped cream and garnish with additional crushed Oreo cookies.
9. Enjoy your Oreo Mocha Madness coffee drink!
